Shearwater

Our vessel Shearwater, named after one of the most capable sea birds, is a modern and well-equipped fast offshore vessel. The model is an Atlantis, 6.1 metres in length upgraded to a commercial specification. It is powered by a Suzuki 150 hp outboard motor.

The vessel is coded CAT 4 R for 12-miles during day time hours, carrying a maximum of four persons (three passengers and one crew).

Shearwater is capable of fast speeds, providing an exhilarating and very comfortable ride.

This vessel also enables us to get very close and sometimes around the light house, due to the fact it can enter shallower water.

It is fitted with the latest Raymarine 12-inch touchscreen Axiom chart plotter with in-hull transducer AIS transmit and receive: ICOM DSC Radio and too mainly safety features to list here.

Shearwater has a variety of other professional roles in the marine industry. This boat really does give you the opportunity to experience an offshore response vessel, whilst visiting our fascinating local landmarks and/or training combined.

This really is a fantastic boat and even though we spend a lot of time on it, it makes us smile every time we set foot on it!
